Shopper questions

Can I transcribe from ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. In ChatGPT, install the transcribe.so plugin from ChatGPT's plugin directory, then sign in with your transcribe.so account. Claude, Codex, Cursor, and any MCP client connect to the same server. Agents that can run a shell, such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, can also upload a local file.

Does it tell me who is speaking?

Yes. Every transcript comes back with speaker labels that identify who is speaking at each moment.

What can I transcribe?

You can transcribe videos from YouTube, team meetings, lectures, podcasts, and voice notes. Files can be uploaded to the web app or linked from public sources.

Is my content private?

Yes. Your audio and transcripts are processed on infrastructure operated by Transcribe.so and trusted third-party providers, and these providers do not use your files to train AI models. Your content is never sold and you can delete your recordings anytime.

Is there a free plan?

There is no recurring free plan, but new accounts receive $3 in free credit to try the service with no credit card required. After that, you can pay as you go at $1/hour or subscribe to an unlimited plan starting at $9/mo.
