unboom.app, as visitors see it

Unboom is a Mac and Windows application designed for music producers, podcasters, and listeners working with speakers in untreated rooms. Most rooms exaggerate one bass note, which muddies mixes and causes kick drums to boom. Unboom plays a bass sweep, detects the problematic frequency using the computer's microphone or by ear, and reduces only that narrow frequency band across all audio output. The process takes about two minutes and the correction then runs automatically in the menu bar or taskbar. On Mac, it includes an Audio Unit plug-in for DAWs like Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, REAPER, GarageBand, MainStage, and LUNA. The app never boosts audio, only cuts, and leaves headphones untouched.

What it does

  • Automatic room bass frequency detection using microphone or ear
  • Room profiles with per-room settings
  • DAW Audio Unit plug-in for Mac
  • Zero-delay operation in DAWs
  • Only cuts, never boosts audio
  • Windows 10+ and macOS 14.2+ support
  • Works with Bluetooth and wired speakers
  • Two-minute setup process
  • Available in English and Turkish

Shopper questions

Do I need a measurement microphone?

No. Your computer's microphone works, or you can find the boom by ear.

Which DAWs does the plug-in work in?

Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, Ableton Live, FL Studio, REAPER, and LUNA. Other DAWs like Pro Tools play without correction, so they're never delayed.

Does it work on Windows?

Yes, on Windows 10 or later, on Intel, AMD, and ARM PCs. It corrects everything Windows plays on your speakers. There's no DAW plug-in on Windows, so DAWs using ASIO play uncorrected.

Does one purchase cover Mac and Windows?

No. Each is unlocked in its own app: through the Mac App Store on a Mac, and with a license key on Windows.

What happens after the trial?

Scans stay free. Correction, in your apps and your DAW, needs the one-time unlock.
