Bowhard is a transcription service that converts audio and video recordings into text with automatic punctuation and capitalization. The service processes files up to 2 GB and 4 hours in Russian language, delivering results as TXT text, SRT subtitles with timecodes, and JSON data with word-level information.

The platform works without registration or subscription. Speech recognition runs on Yandex servers in Russia, and files are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Users can upload files directly or provide public links from Yandex.Disk or Dropbox. The service identifies multiple speakers in recordings and can mark them as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.

How long does transcription take?

Transcription typically takes 20-60 seconds for every 10 minutes of recording. An hour-long recording is usually transcribed in 2-5 minutes.

What happens to uploaded files and transcripts?

Files and transcripts are stored on the server for no more than 24 hours and are automatically deleted. Speech recognition occurs on Yandex servers in Russia and data is not transferred abroad.

What payment methods are available?

You can pay with a Russian card directly on the website via YuKassa payment service, or by invoice. Receipts are automatically generated for self-employed individuals. Payment is based on actual usage with no subscription or auto-billing.

Can poor quality recordings be transcribed?

Noise, echo, and quiet recordings reduce accuracy. If a recording is completely incomprehensible, the service will inform you honestly and will not charge you. Transcription will not begin until you confirm.

Is there an API for developers?

Yes, the service is available programmatically via /api/tools/stt and /api/tools/job/ endpoints. Documentation, examples in curl, Python and Node, and ready-made schemas for n8n are available on the API for Developers page.
