WhereToGo
Find the popular and crowded places near you right now
An app for discovering where people are gathering right now, posting photos, and chatting with people at places in real time.
About this launch
WhereToGo is a real-time location app that shows you where people are gathering right now. Flip to Crowded to see the map light up with pins indicating how many people are at each location, updated by the minute—not ratings or old reviews.
The app displays tens of millions of real places with photographs across the world. You can filter by category like cafés, bars, restaurants, parks, and museums. Every place has a thread where you can ask questions and post photos that stay with that location for future visitors.
Privacy is built in. Your location, presence, photos, and age each have individual settings: visible to everyone, followers only, or nobody. There are no ads, no advertising identifiers, and nothing is sold. The app works the same way across cities worldwide—Paris, London, Istanbul, and Marrakech—in your own language.

Shopper questions
How current is the crowdedness information?
The crowdedness numbers are updated by the minute. A pin showing a number like 17 means exactly seventeen people are there at that moment, not a rating or a review from last year.
Can I control who sees my location and activity?
Yes. Your location, presence, photos, and age each have their own privacy setting that you can set to everyone, followers only, or nobody. You can also turn location off entirely and still count towards a place's crowdedness number without anyone seeing your name.
Is there any cost to use WhereToGo?
No, WhereToGo is completely free with no advertisements.
What platforms is WhereToGo available on?
