About this launch
JustAnime is a free catalogue and tracking service for anime, manga, music videos and trailers. You can track your viewing and reading progress by marking episodes and chapters as watched or read, rate and review entire titles or individual episodes (scores must include written reviews of at least 10-40 characters), and follow other users to see their activity and reviews. The site maintains its own curated database of titles, episodes, characters, staff and studios that is continuously updated. It features a social component with activity posts, replies, likes, follows and a reputation-based leaderboard, but no private messaging or groups. Scores are calculated as a weighted blend of 70% title-level reviews and 30% episode-level reviews. Rankings use a Bayesian mean to prevent obscure titles with few ratings from dominating charts. The service is free to use and supported by advertising; there is no video player, reader or links to copyrighted content.

Shopper questions
Can I watch anime or read manga on JustAnime?
No. JustAnime is a catalogue and tracking service with no video player, reader or links to copyrighted content. It tells you what exists and remembers what you watched or read.
Does JustAnime cost anything?
No, JustAnime is completely free. Every feature is free with no paid tiers. The site is paid for by advertising instead.
Do I need an account to use JustAnime?
You can browse and search without an account, but you need one to track progress, score and review titles, follow people, favourite titles and post to the activity feed.
How is a title's score calculated?
A title's score is a weighted blend of 70% from whole-title reviews and 30% from individual episode reviews, rounded to one decimal. If only one type has scores, that side takes full weight.
Do I need an account?
Only to keep a library. Browsing, searching and reading every catalogue page works without signing in. An account is what lets you track progress, score and review, follow people, favourite titles and post to the activity feed.
