bukpress is a web app that turns Markdown manuscripts into professionally typeset A4 PDFs and reflowable EPUBs. You write in plain text and the tool handles pagination, page breaks, page numbers, margins and font embedding automatically. The live preview breaks pages the way the export will, letting you fix layouts as you write. You can save designs as Brand Kits to reuse across books, upload custom fonts and covers, and export without watermarks on any plan. It's built for creators, coaches, indie authors, and anyone publishing lead magnets, workbooks, course handouts, ebooks and whitepapers.

What it does

  • Multiple typeface control
  • Brand Kits for design reuse
  • Custom font uploads
  • Google Fonts integration
  • Custom covers and backgrounds
  • Table header row repetition

Shopper questions

Do I need to know Markdown?

No. If you can write a heading with a # and a bold word with two asterisks, you already know enough. Everything else like page breaks, dividers, and page numbers is handled by the editor or design settings.

Will the PDF really look like the preview?

Very closely. The browser preview paginates with the same page rules the server-side renderer uses, so page breaks, margins and page numbers line up. If the two rendering engines ever disagree by a line, the exported PDF is the final word.

Is there a watermark on the free plan?

No. Free exports come out clean, exactly like Pro exports. The free plan is limited by how many books you export per month (20) and how long each one can be (40 pages), never by a watermark.

Can I sell the books I make?

Yes, on every plan. You own what you write and what you export. bukpress doesn't claim rights to your content and doesn't put its name on the exported files.

What is the Foundation offer?

A single $149 payment for everything the Pro plan has, forever, including future Pro upgrades and first access to beta features. It's capped at 250 people and once sold out it's genuinely gone.
