Box Blanks
Free parametric packaging dieline generator for FEFCO and ECMA box styles
Browser-based tool for generating cutting plans (dielines) for corrugated and folding carton boxes in multiple formats, with no signup or per-download fees.
About this launch

Box Blanks is a parametric packaging dieline generator that creates cutting plans for boxes. Enter three dimensions and pick a board type, and the tool generates a live 2D preview and 3D fold visualization that updates in real time. Files export as PDF (true 1:1 for printing and hand-cutting), SVG (for design and laser cutting), or DXF with separate cut, crease and perforation layers (for die-makers and CAD). The tool supports 244 FEFCO codes for corrugated boxes and 206 ECMA codes for folding cartons, with templates marked as either plate-checked against published standards or pending verification. Everything runs in the browser with no account required and no charges.

Shopper questions
What is a dieline?
A dieline is the flat cutting plan for a box, showing solid lines where the board is cut through, dashed lines where it folds, and sometimes perforations for tear-open strips. When folded it becomes the box, and when sent to a converter it becomes the steel rule die that stamps out thousands.
What does it cost?
Nothing today. There is no account and no per-download charge.
Which file format should I download?
PDF if you want to print it and cut by hand at true 1:1 scale. SVG for design software or laser cutters. DXF for die-makers or CAD packages with cut, crease and perforation on separate layers.
What do FEFCO and ECMA mean?
FEFCO and ECMA are the two standard catalogues the packaging trade uses to name box styles. FEFCO covers corrugated board with four-digit codes like 0201 for the ordinary shipping box or 0427 for the ecommerce mailer. ECMA covers folding cartons, the thinner printed boxes on a shop shelf.
Can I use these commercially?
Yes. The geometry is generated from Box Blanks' own parametric code. FEFCO and ECMA code numbers are industry shorthand and using them to describe a box style is standard practice. As with any dieline, satisfy yourself it is right before committing to tooling.
