Your listing's video

Videos are part of the full profile: they play on the listing of a paid launch.

Your videos

Paid launches have the full profile, so their videos play directly on the listing. A free listing shows the video section, locked. A single main video is placed at the top of the screenshots.

What you can paste

Paste a YouTube link (normal, youtu.be, Shorts, embed or live), a Vimeo link (private ones work), or a Loom, Wistia, Vidyard, Dailymotion or TikTok link - or an .mp4/.webm on the company's own site. The form refuses X/Twitter posts, playlists and channel links, with the reason.

Editing the video

Sign in and open /account/listings. Edit the listing, scroll to Video, paste the link and save. A short line under the box tells you which video we found, or why a link cannot play. There is a second way in, Profile sections > Video, where you can also add your own title and a short description.

A listing has one video. To change it, paste a different link and save; to take it off, empty the box and save or press Remove.

One video per listing

The video host is not contacted until someone presses play: a fast listing, and privacy via youtube-nocookie and Vimeo's do-not-track. The video shows its title, description, length and upload date when the host provides them, and a 'Watch on <site>' link.

On Launch It Online and beyond

Videos are attached to the company: every site where it is listed plays them. Structured data, the video sitemap and llms.txt all include your videos.

When a host changes

We re-check videos every week; a video that disappears, turns private or stops allowing embedding is hidden (one email to the owner) and returns automatically when available.

Questions people ask

Can I use a YouTube Short?
Yes. YouTube Shorts, youtu.be, embed and live links all work.
Does the video slow my listing down?
No. Nothing loads from the video site until a visitor presses play.
Can I add more than one video?
No. A listing shows one video; a new link replaces it.
