How it started

Zinn Hub is the freelance marketplace Neil Lock co-founded with Natalie Lock; he runs it as CEO. He is also the developer who built the platform. Neil has more than 25 years of software, search and hosting work behind him.

Why it exists

Zinn Hub exists to make freelancing fairer on both sides of an order. In practice: 0% commission for sellers to start, more of the money kept by the person doing the work, and vetted sellers plus a responsive team for buyers.

What he built

The platform he wrote handles 46 languages, translating listings, briefs, messages and reviews both ways and carrying live calls with captions or a translated spoken voice. Sellers are paid instantly through their own Stripe or PayPal, and there are six ways to be paid out, crypto among them. Sellers are vetted and KYC-verified, and payments made on the platform are protected by escrow. Neil also takes free Zinn® Concierge calls, helping buyers scope a project and find the right seller, and buyers can post a project for sellers to pitch on.

Milestones

The platform earned two awards in 2026: UK Freelance Marketplace of the Year 2026 (365 Awards) and Best Multilingual Freelance Marketplace in the United Kingdom of 2026 (Best of Best Review).
