About this launch
Strumhold is a guitar practice app that helps players improve their chord changes and scale playing. The app listens to your guitar through your device's microphone, headset, or audio interface and scores each change based on whether you land the correct chord in time. You can practice two chords at a time with a steady beat keeping you on track, or drill individual scale shapes within a six-fret window.
The app includes jamming features where you can play over a looping band in different keys and scales, with the chart automatically adjusting when chords change. It tracks your progress through a visual stronghold that grows taller with each practice session and streak. All practice drills and your history are stored on your device with no tracking or ads.
Strumhold works offline once installed as a web app. Practice is free forever with no account required. Optional subscriptions add cloud sync across devices (Sync, $19.99/year or $2.99/month) or advanced features like Diagnosis coaching, full jamming capabilities, and the Songbook showing which real songs you can play (Pro, $59.99/year or $8.99/month).
