SnapByFace is a desktop application for Windows and macOS that searches through your photo and video libraries to find where a specific person appears. You provide one clear reference photo of a person, name the file after them, point the application at your media folders, and it identifies all matching faces across thousands of photos and hours of video. All face detection, embedding extraction, and matching happens locally on your computer—no images, videos, or face data are uploaded to any server. The application supports 15+ file formats, allows you to adjust the similarity threshold to control match strictness, displays results with time ranges for video, and lets you pause and resume long-running scans. Results can be exported to a folder of your choice while original files remain untouched.

Is SnapByFace really offline?
Face recognition and search run entirely on your computer with no images, videos, or face data uploaded. The only outbound data is an optional device statistics ping containing only machine code, app version, operating system, language, and activation state—no media or library data.
Do I need an internet connection to use SnapByFace?
No. Once installed, the application works completely offline with the network unplugged because face models are bundled inside the 300 MB installer with nothing to download at runtime.
How many computers does one license cover?
One. Each license code is signed for a specific machine code. If you replace the motherboard, main drive, or reinstall the OS on different hardware, contact support to re-issue the code.
Are plans automatically renewed?
No. All plans are one-time payments with no automatic renewal. When a timed plan expires, you can buy again with the same machine code to extend it.
Can I get a refund?
