Riffage
A desktop riff library for metal guitarists
Record and organize guitar riffs, lyrics and song ideas in one searchable library you can drag into your DAW.
About this launch
Riffage is a desktop riff library for metal guitarists that lets you record, search, and organize every guitar idea you've written. Import voice memos, phone clips, and session bounces all at once, then find them by title, lyric, filename, tempo, tuning, or custom tags. Pull riffs straight into your DAW with one drag, and drag clips back when something good falls out of a session.
The app records through your own amp sims with a built-in editor to cut up takes and keep the best parts. Every recording saves a clean DI alongside the amped signal for later resampling. Share vaults with your band so all ideas go to one place instead of group chats, with one bandmate paying and everyone else getting access free.
The core app is free forever on Windows and Mac with unlimited riffs and no account needed. Sign in for 3 GB of free cloud backup per vault. Riffage Cloud adds 50 GB of backup and band sharing for paid subscribers.

Shopper questions
How do I find a riff I recorded a long time ago?
You can search by title, lyric, filename, tempo, tuning, or any custom tags you added. You can also narrow results by starred favorites.
Can multiple band members use the same vault?
Yes. One bandmate sets up and pays for the shared vault subscription, and everyone else gets in free with invitations and access to comments and collections.
What is stored with each guitar recording?
Every take saves both a clean DI track and the amped signal, so you can reamp it later or reuse the clean recording.
