Enter a script in PlayHT, choose a language and narrator, and press Generate to receive an MP3 text to speech result with streaming where supported. Replay the finished audio without another generation, or revise the script when you want a different reading.
How do Basic, Pro, and Max models differ?
Basic is the free model supporting previews up to 500 characters and requires Starter or above for longer use. Pro offers more character and requires Starter or above. Max offers more distinctive delivery and requires Studio or Enterprise plan access.
Can I download the audio?
Yes. Choose Download MP3 after PlayHT finishes your audio clip. Replay and download use no extra generation credits. Signed-in users can replay and download saved clips from Generation history after leaving the editor.
Can I create a private voice?
Yes. In Play HT, open My voices from your account menu or choose Voice Cloning to upload or record a sample you own or have permission to use. Creating a clone uses no credits and requires an active subscription. Generation uses the selected model's standard rate.
What are the credit costs for different voice models?
Basic costs 1 credit per 100 characters, Pro costs 2 credits per 100 characters, and Max costs 4 credits per 100 characters. Each generation rounds up to a whole credit, so 101 characters costs 2 credits with Basic, 3 with Pro, or 5 with Max.
