PhotoCore
The private home for your whole photo life
Native macOS app for Apple Silicon that archives photos from multiple sources and finds them by meaning using local AI, with no cloud or subscription.
About this launch

PhotoCore is a native macOS application for Apple Silicon Macs that provides a unified searchable archive for photos stored across multiple locations including internal drives, external drives, NAS volumes, iPhones and Apple Photos libraries. The app uses local artificial intelligence running on the device's Apple Neural Engine to enable semantic search by meaning rather than filenames, allowing users to find images by describing them naturally across thousands of photos in under 50ms. All processing including indexing, face recognition, and quality scoring happens locally on the Mac with no data transmitted to cloud services or external servers.
The application preserves original files in place without requiring import or modification and maintains searchability of disconnected external drives and NAS volumes. Additional features include people identification through optional face recognition, quality-based sorting and culling, map-based viewing of geotagged photos, and the ability to create portable Stories from selected memories. PhotoCore is sold as a one-time purchase with no subscription required.
