Paperboy automates SEO content creation by researching, writing, fact-checking and publishing articles to your website. Every claim in each article is verified against saved source material before publication, with a score of 70 or higher required to publish. Articles that fail fact-check are rewritten once and checked again; if they still fail, they are held for manual review.
The product offers multiple interfaces: a web dashboard, a CLI tool, REST API, and an MCP server. It publishes to hosted blogs on your domain, WordPress, Ghost, webhooks, or site builders. Plans are billed per site with options for monthly or yearly billing, plus a free first article and 14-day trial. For developers and agents, a credits system offers pay-as-you-go access without subscriptions.
The core loop is open source under AGPL-3.0 for self-hosting. Topics are suggested from your Search Console data or inferred from your site and market research. Every article includes a weekly report and Search Console integration.

What makes Paperboy different from other AI writing tools?
Paperboy checks every claim against its sources before publishing, holding articles back if they fail fact-check. Most AI writing tools leave verification to you; Paperboy verifies first and publishes second. The company runs it on its own blog first to catch issues before customers do.
What happens if an article fails the fact-check?
The article is rewritten once and fact-checked again. If it still fails, it is marked "Needs your review" and held from publishing so you can see the specific issues and fix them manually if desired.
Can I publish articles on my own domain or WordPress site?
Yes. Paperboy supports publishing to a hosted blog on your own subdomain, WordPress, Ghost, a webhook, or a site builder. You can also approve articles first before they publish, or leave publishing on autopilot.
What is included in every Paperboy plan?
All three cloud plans (Starter, Growth, Pro) include fact-checking on every article, every publishing option, Search Console integration, and a weekly report by email. The only difference is how many articles are produced: Starter writes 3 per week, Growth writes 1 per day, and Pro writes 2 per day.
Do I need Google Search Console to use Paperboy?
No. New sites can skip Search Console and topics will be picked from your site and market research. When you connect Search Console later, topic selection becomes sharper because it uses searches you already rank for.
