Kalen is an X assistant that integrates with AI tools you already use, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code through MCP (Model Context Protocol). The tool researches your niche daily by collecting top posts for your keywords and X trends, plus weekly analysis of popular posts from reference accounts and your own account.
Your AI writes posts from Kalen's briefing and open time slots. Kalen then scores each draft from 0 to 100 using Jev, TypeSafe's judgment model, comparing them against what works in your niche and your best posts. Drafts below the pass mark are returned for rewrites, up to 3 rounds.
Nothing is published without your approval. You review posts and their scheduled times in the chat, then approve to have Kalen publish them through X's official API. You can change or cancel any scheduled post until it goes live. Optional first replies can include your link, which appears right under the post.

What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how AI assistants use outside tools. Once Kalen is connected, your assistant calls it automatically when you ask for X posts, similar to how it searches the web or reads files, without leaving the chat.
Which AIs does it work with?
Kalen works with any AI that supports MCP connectors, including Claude (web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other remote MCP servers.
How does the scoring work?
Kalen scores each draft from 0 to 100 using Jev, TypeSafe's judgment model, against what works in your niche and your best posts. Drafts below the pass mark are returned for rewriting, up to 3 rounds.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, every plan starts with 14 days free and 50 credits on the first subscription. You can cancel before the trial ends and nothing is charged; otherwise the plan renews at its price.
How many posts can Kalen publish per week?
By default Kalen suggests about 40 posts per week: around 30 evergreen posts plus a daily moment that reacts to trends. You can publish as many as your credits cover.
