Fieldframe is a web-based and Lightroom Classic plugin that automatically detects jersey numbers in sports photographs and tags players by matching numbers to team rosters. After uploading a game, users review flagged detections with confidence scores and can quickly correct any tags before publishing. The platform creates PIN-protected public galleries where players, parents, coaches and fans can search photos by jersey number or player name without needing to tag photos manually. Photographers can keep using their existing stores like SmugMug or share Fieldframe galleries directly, with player names and numbers embedded as IPTC metadata in downloaded files. The software includes roster integration via CSV or Excel, watermarking options, and bulk downloads with player metadata.

How accurate is the number detection?

Fieldframe tags numbers it is confident about and sends uncertain detections to a review queue with confidence scores. Hidden, folded or turned-away numbers cannot be read, and scoreboard and advertising board numbers are filtered out automatically. With a linked roster, only numbers on the roster are accepted.

What if Fieldframe gets a number wrong?

Users can fix any tag in the review screen in seconds by typing the correct number. With a roster linked, the player's name comes from the roster. Users can press N if no readable number exists in the photo or add another player with T.

Can one photo be tagged with more than one player?

Yes. Fieldframe automatically tags the player whose number it reads best and adds a second player when confident about that number. Additional players can be added in the review screen and appear in searches.

Is Fieldframe safe to use for youth and high school sports?

Yes. New galleries start PIN-protected so only families with the code can access them. Photos and player data are stored in the EU and deleted 12 months after upload. Users confirm they have athlete or parental consent before creating events, and can switch off face matching for any player.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, users can cancel their subscription at any time via their account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Galleries remain accessible until the end of the billing period, after which the account reverts to the free tier.
