Daydream Studio is a music production tool running in your browser. You start by generating or recording a part, then add live session players on bass, drums, keys, horns and more who play along to your track in real time. You can reshape the players as they play, apply your own trained styles to customize their sound, and use VST3 and Audio Unit plugins for additional instrument and effect processing. The platform runs on DEMON, an open-source real-time audio engine with Stable Audio 3 on cloud GPUs. Studio is described as a research preview from Daydream's music lab that lets you make a whole track in your browser, export to MP3, WAV Pro, stems or MIDI, and share via link or embed code.

Shopper questions

Is Studio available on mobile?

Studio is more powerful on desktop where the whole arrangement fits in one view. The mobile experience is available but omits some editing, arrangement, and export options.

What can you do with the session players?

Session players perform live alongside your track on bass, drums, keys, horns and more. You can reshape them as they play, apply trained styles to customize their sound, and describe the exact part you want them to play.

Can you use your own audio and plugins?

Yes, you can import your own audio files to start with, and use VST3 and Audio Unit plugins as instruments and effects on any track lane. Plugin support is via Studio Bridge for Mac, with Windows support coming next.

What export formats are available?

You can export your complete track as MP3, WAV Pro (lossless for mastering), stems (each lane as individual WAV files), or MIDI. The MIDI export is available on every plan.

Who owns the music you create in Studio?

You own everything you make in Studio on every plan, with full creative ownership and transparency in how the AI-assisted music technology is used.
