Chaptora is an AI-powered book editor designed for fiction and non-fiction authors. It keeps your manuscript, research files, and writing style in context, so the AI understands your book and can provide relevant suggestions rather than generic answers. Unlike chat interfaces that start fresh each session, Chaptora runs inside the editor itself, showing all changes as red and green diffs that you approve or reject before they enter your manuscript. You can upload PDFs, URLs, YouTube transcripts, and other research, and the AI works from those sources to support your writing. The editor includes professional export options for major platforms like Amazon KDP, Apple Books, and IngramSpark, with features like front matter, back matter, bibliographies, and clean typography.

Shopper questions

Who owns what I write, and is it used for training?

You own your manuscripts and research fully. They are never used to train any AI model, never shared, and never claimed as Chaptora's. They stay in your private project library, and deleting a project deletes them.

How is this different from using ChatGPT or Claude in a browser tab?

Chaptora runs inside the editor with your chapters and uploaded sources already loaded, returning edits as diffs you approve in place. Chat windows cannot see your book and require manual copying back and forth.

Does the AI know my whole book, or only the paragraph I am working on?

Chaptora sends the current chapter, auto-generated synopses of previous chapters, your writing style and voice sample, and matching passages from uploaded sources, but not the full manuscript as that exceeds what models handle reliably.

Does Chaptora write the book for me?

No. Chaptora drafts passages, tightens paragraphs, or checks claims against sources, but every change arrives as a diff you must accept or reject. Nothing enters your manuscript without your approval.

Will the AI invent sources?

No. The AI only cites from documents you uploaded. If a fact is not backed by something you provided, it says so rather than making one up.
