What is an Archii SmartCard?
It's a physical business card with an NFC chip inside. When someone taps it against their phone, your contact details open instantly without needing to install an app. The card links to a digital profile page you control, so people always see your current information.
How is a SmartCard different from a normal business card?
A printed business card is fixed at the time of printing. With a SmartCard, you can update your details anytime through your profile, and every card you've ever handed out updates instantly.
Do I need an app to use a SmartCard?
No. Tapping the card opens your profile in the phone's browser. You need an account to edit your own profile, and there's an iOS app available if you prefer managing it from your phone rather than the web.
What happens if I lose my SmartCard?
Your profile lives in your account, not on the card. Sign in, unlink the lost card to stop it working, and order a replacement whenever you need one.
How long does the NFC chip last?
The NFC chip is passive with no battery to charge and nothing to expire. It's rated for a very large number of reads and will realistically outlast the card itself. Normal wallet wear is the limiting factor.
