Plug in your tools: API and MCP access

Connect your apps and AI assistants to Launch It Online via REST API or MCP server.

Updated

Connect your way

We've built two ways for you to tap into Launch It Online from outside the site. Pick what suits your workflow best.

If you're building software, use our REST API at /api/v1. We've documented it fully in OpenAPI 3.1 format—grab that at /api/v1/openapi.json and start building straight away. Everything you need is in our developer docs at /developers.

Running an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT? Connect it over MCP through /mcp. Your assistant can search launches, read listings, and—if you give the go-ahead—even draft and manage your own listings for you.

Getting started

Both methods need you to sign in. Pick your preference:

  • OAuth: Your assistant or app will open a sign-in page here on the site. Simple and secure.
  • API key: Generate a personal key from /account/developers. You'll see it once, then we store only a hash. Keep it safe.

Fair use

Rate limits and daily quotas keep things fair for everyone. When you need to take a payment, the API hands back a checkout link—money flows through Launch It Online, never elsewhere. One thing to know: voting isn't available through the API.

Questions people ask

Can I let my AI assistant manage my listings?
Yes. When you connect over MCP, you can give permission for the assistant to draft and manage your own listings alongside reading what's already live.
Where do I find my API key?
Generate one anytime from /account/developers. Write it down when you see it—we only show it that once.
What can't I do through the API?
You can't vote on launches through the API. Voting stays here on the site.
